Sculpture
Starting in 1966, using acrylic paint on plywood then transparent sheets of primary hues, Wurmfeld made a series of sculptural pieces — the transparent works take the concepts of modulating space a step further than the wooden columns, not only through their physical three-dimensionality, but also by literally coloring their surrounding environment. - Bridget McCarthy
